2nd Retail Asia Congress 2009
2009/06
Hailed as one of Asia’s definitive conference for the retail community, the second Retail Asia Congress ran alongside two other major retail events in the Hong Kong – the Retail Design & In-store marketing Expo and Retail Technology Expo, which took place from the 24-26 June at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. These events are seen as a meeting place for everyone in the retail industry.
The Congress serves to attract participation of companies related to the retail industry and this year, the main aim of the Congress is to address two key issues facing retailers in these challenging times – mainly finding new ways to attract shoppers and reducing costs.
Having spoken at the Retail Innovation Summit in Singapore in December last year, Nic Banks was invited to sit on the Advisory Board of the Congress that was responsible instrumental for driving the programme of the Congress. In addition, Nic also acted as the Moderator at the Closing Luxury panel discussion on Survival strategies for the luxury business in a recession.
