As part of their business development plans in the region, Swarovski, decided to open a 3,000 sq. (...) ft. flagship store in the historic Peace Hotel building in Shanghai, PRC. The store is on one level on the ground floor, with an external façade and an internal mall façade. Swarovski were keen for the store to look impressive and stunning, while still working within the limitations of a historically-sensitive building. Specially created art pieces and installations were also be incorporated into this store. Atelier Pacific acted as Local Design Architect responsible for producing the overall store design, including the façade design and assisting in overseeing the construction of the shop through to completion.
